Margaret was an Old Girl, who started school in the September of 1940.She joined the teaching staff in the summer term of 1954 and began by teaching the Reception class, she then progressed to become Head of Kindergarten.

Margaret became Head of Kindergarten when the then Preparatory Department was split into Kindergarten and Prep; she was a talented teacher with a love of nature and the outdoors, she loved her West Highland Terriers and was often visited by stray cats looking for a meal!

In 1984 she took early retirement as her health had not been good and she moved to Dalbeattie as she found the climate better.

She will be sadly missed by her many friends from Bury who phoned and wrote to her regularly.
