It is with immense sadness that we inform you of the passing of Carole Keating (née Collins), aged 86, on 9th April at Colchester Hospital.

Carole was a pupil at Bury Grammar School from 1949 to 1956, moving on then to Lady Mabel P.E. College, near Sheffield, before being appointed Head of P.E. at Stand Grammar School for Girls in 1959. She left there in 1967 upon her marriage when she began teaching as Head of P.E. at Clitheroe RGS.

A family cremation service took place at Weeley Crematorium on Friday 26th April, followed by a memorial service at Frinton Methodist Church.

A second memorial service will be held at Waddington Methodist Church, Lancashire, on Friday 17th May at 1.00pm.
