It is with a saddened heart that I inform BGS of the death of my sister, Lynne Yvonne Baurley, Class of 1987.

Lynne died on 30th October 2024 in Bury Hospice after a long battle with cancer.

She had a life well-lived, having 4 amazing children and was a grandmother of 2. She was a people-person and, for her funeral, we couldn't find a single photo of just her; she was always with friends and family. She was known for her playground school voice, stopping any child with a barely raised call. She went to University after making sure her family had been given and used all their opportunities, gaining a 2:1 in English. We shall miss her very much.
