We are very sorry to announce the passing of Chris Slater (class of 1966) after a long struggle with dementia.
Chris grew up in Heywood and attended BGS from 1957 to 1966. He was a prefect and a member of Hulme. Chris was taught classics by Ernest Voss and Malcolm Pittam and went on to study at Emmanuel College, Cambridge. He spent his career teaching classics.
Chris is survived by his sister Judith and niece Eleanor.
His funeral is at 2pm on 12 September at Overdale Crematorium.
Our thoughts are with Christopher's family and friends at this sad time.
