Bury Parish Church was packed for the annual Bury Grammar School Carol Service.  There were so many guests that the church ran out of hymn books! The service began in darkness with the singing of a solo verse of 'Once in Royal David's City'.  The choir then processed into the church by candlelight.  We enjoyed the Christmas Story told through the traditional bible readings interspersed with carols sung by the school choirs and pupils from year 5 and 6.  The congregation sang with great gusto all of the familiar hymns with trumpet descants on the final verses.  Very many thanks to our whole community for supporting this beautiful service and wishing you all a very Happy Christmas!
