School Archive Brings History to Life Through Film Collaboration
The BGS archive continues to prove its value as a living, working collection.
We were delighted recently to lend items from the archive and to collaborate with the film crew producing a project about the much-loved comedian and writer Victoria Wood.
School magazines and photographs form a particularly valuable part of the archive, providing a rich and detailed historical record of the past. Taken together, they offer unique insights into daily school life across different decades — from classroom experiences and extracurricular activities to performances. At Bury Grammar we are fortunate to have the support of an Archivist, a Librarian, the history department and a new archive room.
