On 26th June 1906, a single stone was laid at Bury Grammar School, and its significance reached far beyond the act of construction. That cornerstone marked the beginning of what would become the School’s central hall, now known as Roger Kay Hall, and the creation of a space designed to unite two distinct communities within the growing Bridge Road site.
