We were excited to welcome Tom Parton back to Bury Grammar. Tom Parton is a Bury Grammar School alumnus and current Head of Corporate Development at TalkTalk Business, responsible for M&A, strategic growth initiatives and activities. He left BGS Sixth Form in 2013, and qualified as an ACA Chartered Accountant in 2017 through Grant Thornton's school leaver programme, before gaining international experience across Sydney and Adelaide. He has held subsequent roles with Ernst & Young, Maven Capital Partners, and TalkTalk Business, gaining experience in audit, corporate finance, transaction advisory, private equity, and strategic finance. 

Students gained a valuable insight into the opportunities that can develop from a career in accountancy, including roles in M&A, investment and strategic finance.
