We were thrilled to welcome over 100 alumni and friends of the School for a special evening marking the official launch of our BGS Alumni Association.
Guests enjoyed the opportunity to tour the School and explore our extended archive collection, sparking fond memories and shared stories across generations. A highlight of the evening was the unveiling of a commemorative plaque, paying tribute to the invaluable work of previous Alumni Associations and honouring the legacy they leave behind.
The atmosphere was filled with warmth and pride as former pupils, staff, and friends of the School came together to celebrate the enduring spirit of the BGS community. It was truly heartening to see such a broad and diverse group united by a shared connection to our school.
Principal Mrs Jo Anderson told us,
“It was an honour to welcome back so many familiar faces to celebrate the launch of the BGS Alumni Association. Our alumni are a vital part of our school’s story, and their continued engagement and support inspire future generations of BGS pupils. This wonderful event was a powerful reminder of the strength and warmth of our wonderful community.”
Miss Britton, Director of Development of said,
“On behalf of the School I’d like to express our gratitude to everyone who has contributed to the Old Boy and Old Girl Associations over these many years and to thank everyone who joined us for a wonderful celebratory evening. We are excited for the future of the BGS Alumni Association and look forward to many more opportunities to bring our community together.”
