Welcome to the Bury Grammar School Alumni Community website!
Our School has seen thousands of young people pass through its walls and take away with them fond memories of their school days. It is a privilege to share Bury Grammar pupils' journey with them and to see them flourish, form long-lasting friendships and experience life changing moments. You will no doubt be one of them.
We hope you enjoy visiting our website, sharing memories from other eras but also seeing snapshots of your School as it is today. While time moves on, Bury Grammar pupils remain very much the same in essence: the sound of school bells, music, chatter and laughter can be heard every single day at BGS.
Any new visitor to Bury Grammar School will remark upon our School's unique character: the friendliness, high standards, humour and down-to-earth approach. They also invariably comment upon our pupils' and teachers' pride in the School's history; this means a lot to them.
Do take a few moments out of your busy days, have a good look around the website, relish those school day memories...and tell us about them if you get the chance!
You might even want to take a further step and come and visit us in person. We are always delighted to see Old Boys and Old Girls back at Bury Grammar School. While much may well have changed in the intervening years, the most important things remain the same: a belief in the power of education to change lives and the importance of making every day count.
Your School is in good heart.
Sanctas clavis fores aperit.
Mrs. Jo Anderson
